What is the hazard with Product Recall: Lorelli Silicone Rattle Teether (2606-0257)?

Product Recall: Lorelli Silicone Rattle Teether (2606-0257) (Lorelli) was announced earlier this year, in the "Toys – Sensory Toys" category. The product presents a risk of choking because the ball within the teether can detach during use, creating small parts which fit entirely within a small parts cylinder. These small parts pose a choking risk to young children, particularly those under 36 months of age who have a natural tendency to explore objects by placing them in the mouth. The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011. This falls under one of the more serious hazard categories (injury, choking or strangulation risk), so the recall covers every unit sold, not only units with a reported incident.

What should you do if you own this product?

The product has been recalled from end users by Lorelli. Owners are advised to stop using the product immediately, and keep it out of the reach of children. Contact the distributor you purchased from to request redress. Contact the firm directly using the official recall page linked below for the exact remedy steps.
