What to do if you own this product
What is the hazard with MedPride Baby Oil?
MedPride Baby Oil was announced earlier this year, in the "Other" category. The baby oil contains low-viscosity hydrocarbons, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The baby oil's packaging is not child-resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or illness from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children. Additionally, petroleum distillates can get into the lungs, causing chemical pneumonia and/or pulmonary damage, which can be fatal. This falls under one of the more serious hazard categories (injury, choking or strangulation risk), so the recall covers every unit sold, not only units with a reported incident.
What should you do if you own this product?
Consumers should secure the baby oil out of sight and reach of children immediately and contact Shield Line for a refund. Consumers will be asked to submit a photo of the recalled product in the trash to receive a full refund. Sold at: Various discount and medical supply stores primarily in the New York tri-state area, such as 1$ Zone and Yong Tai Discount and online at Amazon.com by HL Medical from November 2025 through March 2026 for about $8..
