What is the hazard with Misco Sports Light-Up Racket Sets, model MT2287?

Misco Sports Light-Up Racket Sets, model MT2287 was announced earlier this year, in the "Other" category. The racket sets violate the mandatory standard for toys because the screw on the racket used to secure the battery compartment does not remain attached when opened, and the button cell batteries in the shuttlecock can be easily accessed by children. If button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns, and death. This falls under one of the more serious hazard categories (injury, choking or strangulation risk), so the recall covers every unit sold, not only units with a reported incident.

What should you do if you own this product?

Consumers should stop using the racket set immediately, take the shuttlecock away from children and contact Missry Associates for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to dispose of the racket set with the shuttlecock in the trash and send a photo of the set in the trash to toys@misco.us. Note: Button cell batteries are hazardous. Batteries should be disposed of or recycled by following local hazardous waste procedures. Sold at: TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores nationwide from February 2026 through March 2026 for about $10.. If you bought it somewhere else, the remedy above still applies — contact the firm directly using the official recall page linked below.

How many units are affected?

About About 2,016 units of Misco Sports Light-Up Racket Sets, model MT2287 are covered by this recall, according to the official count reported by the firm to the regulator.
