What to do if you own this product
What is the hazard with MD Wipe Outz Numbing Tattoo Wipes?
MD Wipe Outz Numbing Tattoo Wipes (Diamond Wipes International, Inc., of Chino, California) was announced earlier this year, in the "Towels or Cloths" category. The recalled numbing wipes contain lidocaine, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The packaging of the wipes is not child-resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents of the wipes are ingested by young children. This falls under one of the more serious hazard categories (injury, choking or strangulation risk), so the recall covers every unit sold, not only units with a reported incident.
What should you do if you own this product?
Consumers should secure the wipes out of sight and reach of children immediately and contact Diamond Wipes for a full refund.
